‘Murica: A Quadruple Haiku

‘Twas a fight for land
‘Tween France, Spain, and Great Britain.
England won it all.

Things were looking up
They even had freedom, but…
then came the taxes!

They fought and they fought.
Eventually, we won.
Free! …and victory!

America! Yes!
Pursue happiness and the
American Dream!

  1. I actually really liked the haikus. Its beautiful how you sort of told the whole story in a few words, but those words contain a lot of weight which i really admire. Good job, Gina ❤
